gu_de LEATHER

gu_de use full-grain natural leather with minimal processing. Natural leather exudes  a luxury  and sophistication with a natural texture, and is characterized by good durability and breathability. Also, due to minimal processing, growth wrinkles, blood vessels, pores, and spots may remain. However, this is not a defect as a characteristic of natural leather, but rather shows that it is a high-quality leather with excellent quality and durability. As time passes, the shape and color of the leather become natural to suit the user and environment, and it transforms into a unique, beautiful product that contains that time, which means patina*.

*Patina： As one of the characteristics of high-quality full-grain leather, the leather changes naturally over time including the effects of the user's hands, sunlight, moisture, and oil.

SUEDE CARE

Suede is a delicate material, so special care is needed to maintain its texture and appearance.

Suede easily absorbs moisture, so be careful not to expose it to moisture, and be careful not to contact it with water, oil, perfume, cosmetics, etc. to maintain its quality. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and drying.

Do avoid overloading to prevent wrinkles or deformation, and fill it with soft paper or cloth when not in use to maintain its shape. Store it in a dust bag to protect it from dust and sunlight.

Gently wipe it with a suede brush or soft-bristle brush to remove dust and restore the texture of the suede. Use a suede eraser to remove light stains and scratches. If the product has deep stains, discoloration, or severe wear, it is recommended to consult a specialist.

gu_de METAL HARDWARE

The metal hardware of the gu_de products has been developed to match the shape and material of the product, creating special details  that reveal the brand's  identity. Please use it correctly  to prevent scratches or damage that may occur during use.

PROTECT & PRESERVE

Please keep the gu_de products in the dust bag provided and keep it out of direct sunlight. Please note that natural leather may  be vulnerable to water, sunlight, strong heat, excessive moisture and dry environments, and prolonged exposure to these external factors may cause deformation of the leather. In case of contact with water, gently wipe with a soft cloth to avoid marks or deformation on the leather, and then dry naturally in a well-ventilated shade. Oil, such as alcohol, ink, cosmetic, and perfume, are harmful to leather and may leave stains that cannot be removed, so be careful when using them.

Also, in the case of light-colored leather, be careful when using it as there is a risk of color transfer or discoloration when it comes in to contact with dark-colored materials for a certain period of time.

When storing the product, it can help to preserve its shape by filling the inside of the product with tissue paper or bubble wrap and locking the zipper. In the case of magnetic lock closure bags, it will prevent the weakened leather from being torn by the magnet if you store them with a thin cloth or paper between the magnet. Please be aware that belongings that are too large or heavy and inappropriate use of the bag may cause deformation of the product.

If you need professional repairs caused by product deformation, scratches, hardware issues, etc., we strongly recommend you to ask an expert to proceed.
